Idea & product development
Inquiries from the security industry to HENRY Protection have been increasing for several years. Due to social developments and increased danger, particularly due to the significantly more documented use of stabbing weapons, there was an expanding need for clothing with stab protection.
Since then, HENRY Protection product managers have been dealing with this topic in order to develop an optimal solution for security forces and emergency services from the police, judiciary, fire brigade and rescue services. In particular, efforts were made in coordination with the authorities and in intensive cooperation with active emergency services to provide clothing with stab and cut-resistant functions.
Low weight, wearing comfort and no restrictions on movement had to be the requirements for this special clothing. In addition, parts of the human body that are particularly at risk in defensive situations should be protected as much as possible against attacks with stabbing weapons.

T-shirts, for example, are stretchy, breathable and create a good, secure feeling while being comfortable to wear. The protection can also be discreetly incorporated into outer clothing (jacket, rescue jacket, protective vest, etc.) as an inner lining.
In addition, increased puncture-, cut- and flame-retardant protection can be achieved on vulnerable parts of the body, e.g. in the thorax area, through targeted use of materials or multiple coatings. The additional protection can be sewn into ballistic protective vests or all types of protective vests as an upgrade variant and can serve as a substitute for a significantly heavier chain ring mesh.
